  • Use your old prescription bottles for quilting or applique thread.  Simply put a small
hole in the cover and pull thread through the hole.

  • Need to rid you site of all those threads. but don't want to drag the vacuum out. Put
two lint rollers on a paint roller and attached the handle to an extension handle. Run
this over the carpet, You are all nice a neat UNTIL tomorrow.........

  • Use a wooden pants hanger to hold books open while you use them.

  • When you see a pattern that you like, either copy it or tear it out of the magazine and
place them in a  8x10 plastic sleeve so that it stays nice and clean. File these in a
    looseleaf notebook labeled  Next Projects.

  • Betty Henderson stored all here little tools in a LOCKING, Craftsman toolbox. The
shallow top drawer holds scissors, needles, rotary cutters, and pins -- The second
drawer could hold markers, pens, pencils, glue sticks, magnifying glasses -- items that
are used often, but not continuously. The third drawer, a little deeper, could hold
templates and rulers that are not hanging. The fourth drawer holds plastic jars of
basting pins, colored pencils, extra rotary blades/sharpeners, Clover iron, and
specialty quilting tools.  The fifth drawer could holds stacking plastic trays of  thread.
The fourth and fifth drawers are deep enough to hold cone thread or other bulkier
